Gedeon Cabernet Sauvignon 2004

This Cabernet Sauvignon is part of a group of wines from the Jerusalem area; I'm in the process of putting together a group to taste them all at once, but in the meantime I couldn't resist opening this bottle.
When I first opened the wine, I was struck by the notes of citrus and plum; while this is definitely a dry wine, these notes were so forward that it rendered the wine almost sweet. The chalkiness that is a hallmark of Cabernet Sauvignon was absent, and one of my fellow tasters noted that the wine seemed unstructured -- that it was unclear what taste the vinters were trying to acheive.
I will return to this wine again; in the meantime, I find the wine to be quite acceptable and look forward to another bottle with anticipation.
