This is just a wonderful wine. A nice deep red; a perfectly balanced and mature flavor without the hard tannins. It's 14.5% alcohol but its full body can handle the bite. There's a wonderful flavor of berries, the chalkiness of a good Cabernet Sauvignon, and underneath it all some pleasant earthy flavors.
I don't usualy repeat what the label says, but since this one is in Hebrew, here's a few tidbits. The El Rom Vineyard dates from the early 1980's; the vineyard is at the northern end of the Golan Heights. The wine is kept in French oak barrels for 18 months.
A friend brought this bottle from Israel as a gift. I don't know if this wine is available in the US, but if it is, you ought to consider treating yourself to one.
