This was an excellent wine for a Shabbat meal. The wine was very flavorful; I noted the dark berry flavors, and even some hints of the "leather" that the winemaker noted on the bottle.
While this wine pairs nicely with standard fare, such as chicken and cholent, I also tried it with a spicy-hot peanut-and-chicken Chinese concoction; the flavors of berry clashed with the hot spices, as might be expected.
