The Kosher Wine Review

Villa Santero

Moscato D'Asti

Rating: 3

Like other moscatos, this wine is sparkling, light in alcohol, and not very serious. The sweetness was just short of cloying, but the underlying flavor was acceptable. We enjoyed this wine with some barbecued food, and as it was a festive occassion the wine was actually an excellent choice for the meal.

One of the most widely available kosher moscatos tastes like Sprite with rubbing alcohol, and I've been reluctant to drink them. I'm definitely going to restock this one, however, as it's quite succesful at what it tries to be.
