The Kosher Wine Review

Teal Lake

Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve 2002

Rating: 2

I was startled by the complete lack of character of this wine: no particular taste of grape, flower, berry, oak... just a neutral wine taste.

After some and a lot of air a little tang appeared in the wine, a hopeful sign, but frankly I am tempted to write the wine off unless I hear from someone else that it develops with *hours* of air. According to the bottle it should develop and peak in 3-5 years, but I didn't notice any underlying complexity that would develop; I am skeptical.
