For a moment, when I first tasted this wine, the intensity of the acidity took me by surprise, and for a moment I thought the wine might be off. But then the enjoyment set in, and all was well.
My guests and I all thoroughly enjoyed this wine, even my spouse, who doesn't usually enjoy dry wines; guests commented on the depth of the wine. The wine clearly goes well with meat and soup, and will likely do well when paired with other strong flavors.
I have to admit that I remain surprised that a relatively young wine does so well, and I think I may put a bottle or two aside for future years.
