I had the opportunity to taste this champagne and compare it to the Pommery champagne, which is also reviewed on this web site. Both are excellent, but I think I give the edge to Laurent-Perrier; it's slightly drier, and goes well with sweet foods (such as cake), more so than the Pommery.
The champagne has an excellent nose, is easy to drink, and has a nice underlying taste of grape. In all, an excellent choice; my host served the champagne with a large ripe strawberry in each glass, an excellent tradition that shouldn't be missed.
This is a terrific champagne.
