Herzog Late Harvest Clarksburg Chenin Blanc 2004
While I am not a big fan of sweet wines, I do have to supply them to my spouse and certain friends, and I'm always on the lookout for a decent sweet wine. This Chenin Blanc is a very decent wine, so much so that I purchased a half-case just to keep around the house to drink as needed or for a change of pace.
It's sweet but not too sweet. Although the label recommends pairing it with "rich" -- sweet? -- desserts, I didn't find that type of pairing to be successful. If you're willing to have a sweet wine with your meal instead of a dry wine, however, this one will serve you well.
