I expect Pinot Noir wines to have a strong nose of black cherry and to be full-bodied. This wine had neither; the cherry note was in the background somewhere, and the wine is medium body.
But a friend and I managed to polish off the entire bottle in a single sitting, which is a rather remarkable accomplishment for me. The wine went very well with our Sabbath-afternoon meal of fish, chicken, and the other usual cold-weather side dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and we're both looking forward to the next bottle.
