Several months ago I received a pair of bottles of this wine, drank the first bottle and promptly set the other bottle aside to age a bit longer.
I just received another pair of bottles. Again, after drinking the first bottle, I feel compelled to put aside the second bottle and let it age at least a year, possibly two.
The wine was quite good, and a friend and I managed to bring ourselves to polish off the entire bottle in a single evening. I enjoyed the flavor and the mouth, but despite giving the bottle plenty of air and coming back to it again and again, the wine never quite lost its initial acrid edge. The wine clearly needs more time in the bottle, and rumors reach me that the vinter agrees.
As it stands the wine is drinkable, but I suspect it will be excellent given some more time.
