Cadence Red Table Wine 2002

Rating: 3

Table wines are supposed to be wines that you can put on the table for everyday use; they're not meant to be fantastic, fantastically expesive, or highly complex wines.

Anav's Cadence Red Table Wine fits the bill. It's a real wine — it's aged in French oak barrels, unlike some table wines that are made in stainless steel vats and poured directly into bottles. The result is a nice solid wine that tastes like wine and is entirely acceptable for everyday use.

The wine is what I call a "Bordeaux mix," in other words, it's a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. The wine should go well with any meal.
