The Kosher Wine Review

Chateau La France 1999

Rating: 0

This is an estate-bottled Cru Bourgeois, but the bottle I had was simply undrinkable. It had a pungent, medicinal smell -- I hesitate to call it a nose -- of what I think of as iodine. Thinking it might be some odd problem, I left a glass out overnight, and the smell was still there.

I can't imagine that the bottle is supposed to taste like this, but in the meantime I am forced to rate it as undrinkable.
