This bottle of wine has been on my wine rack for many years; I wasn't convinced it was even drinkable at this point, but pulled it off the rack on a whim.
Soave is a town in the Italian province of Verona. This wine is a blend of Garganega (90%) and Trebbiano grapes.
To my great surprise, this wine — which was once one of my favorite whites, although I haven't had one of these in years — proves to still be very good. It has a nice flavor, is a tad lower in alcohol than the usual reds, and went down very well with a meal of fish followed by chicken. It's a nice value and relatively inexpensive.
