The Kosher Wine Review

Bartenura

Prosecco

Rating: 3

This is a non-vintage Italian sparkling wine, and I have to admit that I continue to go back and forth on this wine.

My original impression was that the bubbles were quite lively and that the taste of the underlying wine had a decent enough flavor, without the sour notes I've found on some sparkling wines. The pale yellow color and the nose were certainly acceptable.

The second glass of this wine, for some reason, raised doubts in my mind about the underlying sparkle; a third tasting put the doubts to rest. This isn't Champagne, but it does not pretend to be one, and I judge this wine to be an acceptable value for the money.
