The wine is made from Gamay grapes, and is therefore like most Beaujolais wines: fruity, light-bodied, and not very dry. In all this was a pretty good wine.
My host served this wine severely chilled, and this suppressed all aromoa of alcohol, leaving only the nose of plum. (For once the label and I agree!)
