The Kosher Wine Review

The Kosher Wine Review

Welcome to The Kosher Wine Review. We provide: reviews of strictly kosher wines from around the world; advice and consulting for wine connoisseurs; and professional reviews and articles for newspapers, magazines, web sites, and other media.

We have reviews of wines from Israel, the United States, South Africa, Australia, Chile, Argentina, Austria, and France, as well as other countries. Kosher wines are often good, sometimes excellent, and occasionally outstanding; drinking kosher wines can be just as rewarding as drinking any other wine.

By Request: Price and Value Listings

The site now includes two new listings. The first is a listing of wines by price. This listing has prices as of the time of the review.

The next is an experimental listing: A list of wines ranked by value, where value is defined as "the best wine you can purchase for that amount of money." The listing only includes wines that are ranked 3 and above.

These new listings are the result of reader suggestions. If you have a suggestion about how to improve The Kosher Wine Review, please feel free to contact us.

Kosher Wine Etiquette

If you don't keep kosher and have a friend or colleague who does, here's a quick guide to the etiquette of kosher wine — what wine gifts are appropriate, and how to enjoy some wine together.

Rating System

Wines are rated from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest). Occasionally a wine is mentioned but not rated; this happens when I have yet to form a definitive opinion. Here are some other thoughts about rating wines.
